Yeah, Tanya is probably shitting her pants right now! She keeps bugging me to update this thing, but with Facebook, this gets neglected. Someday when we get a computer, I will have more time to update.

Here are a few more pics of our little angel. The teeth pics look like I'm hurting her, but I'm not. She is fed up of us trying to find teeth in her mouth, that she refuses to let us look in..And now with her new teeth there, we want to see! So I swear, she was laughing through this!

Update.....long overdue!

Yeah, that's right..this is wayyyyy long overdue! Avah will be 7 months in 8 days...that is so weird to say.Time has gone by sooo fast! She can sit up by herself (with support nearby) and has 2 teeth already! She was baptized last weekend and did so well. She didn't cry or scream, just looked at the minister with this questioning look!

We will be moving to Moncton soon. Well actually hopefully to Riverview. Wes has a job there and has been living there during the week and coming home on the weekends. Hopefully we can all be together down there shortly.

10 weeks old already..

Time flies, that's for sure! Things are well on our end. Avah is growing like a weed! She went for her needles last week and is now 11lbs 12 ounces and 23 inches long. Just over one week before that she was 10lbs 11 ounces and 21.5 inches long. Talk about a growth spurt! She is smiling all the time and cooing lots! She is noticing much more these days. She loves her swing and smiles at the fishy mobile as it goes round and round! It is all so amazing. Mommy and Daddy are doing pretty good. Daddy just finished school and is on the prowl for work. Both Avah and I are extremely proud of him, he finished with a 89.15% average!!

That's the update for now. All is well on our end, hope all is well with everyone out there!

Here I am....

So 8 weeks has passed by very quickly. It's so hard to believe that Avah is 8 weeks old today. No joke about new moms telling me that time passes quick. It makes me sad that it goes by this fast!

Avah is growing like crazy. Last weigh in she was 10lbs 11 ounces and 21.5 inches long. So that's just over a pound in weight since birth and 1.5 inches. She's smiling up a storm these days and cooing lots. It's such an amazing feeling to be a mom. To have her respond to you, or look at you. Same with Daddy, she responds to his voice and always looks around when she hears his voice. Since her cold is almost gone, we went for a couple of walks this week. She's not happy with the first half of the walk it seems, then she falls asleep. Hopefully she'll start getting used to it. I'm sure she will.

She isn't sleeping her nights yet, but only wakes up once. So I really can't complain. She usually feeds somewhere between 8 and 10 then sleeps until 2 or 3. Eats then and up again somewhere between 6 and 8. So not too bad at all. We will be working on getting her to sleep back in her bassinette this weekend. After week one, she didn't enjoy it and kept waking. Plus she was having a hard time then with eating and vommitting so she's been sleeping with me in bed on the nursing pillow. Poor Daddy has been upstairs in the spare room!! So this weekend will be a weekend with little sleep I would imagine. But we have to get her back in it and Daddy in bed with me!

Other than Avah, things are well. Wes is doing his practicum with Downtown Miramichi. He's in his 3rd week and enjoying it. He has one more exam to write but to date his average is 90%. We are soo proud of him.

House wise, our basement has flooded and water continues to come in. Thankfully not much was ruined. The dehumidifyer has been on since last Wednesday. Our back deck collapsed from the weight of the snow so hopefully once the snow is gone, the landlord will fix it up.

That's it on our end for now. Hopefully it won't take as long for me to write next time.

That's right, Avah is here, which most of you know! Sorry it's taken so long to write! Things have been crazy and wild!

Short timeline of events:

February 7 - I was admitted to hospital - high blood pressure and having contractions

February 14 - discharged from hospital

February 15 - admitted again to hospital

February 18 - Doctor advised they will induce on the 19th

February 19th - Given 2 gels for inductions

February 20 - Water breaks, pitocin is given, pushed for 2 hours, result in c-section - AVAH IS BORN at 8:36pm (9lbs 6ounces, 20 inches long)

February 23 - Avah developes Jaundice and is placed under phototherapy

February 26 - Both of us are discharged!!!

February 28 - Avah's check up - Jaundice levels increase and re-admitted

March 1 - discharged from hospital

Finally we're home!! It was a long old month, lots of highs and lows. We're doing great at home! Hard to believe she will be a month old this week! Wish I would have been able to keep this updated a bit more.

36 weeks...wowsers...

Yup, that's right, I am in my 36th week! I can't get over how time has flown by the past while! Belly is expanding lots and lots! I even tend to hit it against things sometimes forgetting that it's there! Thankfully it's not a hard hit, but more like a little tap! The last month aches and pains are setting in and I'm not much in the mood to do anything! Sleep is getting a bit harder to get, but I just keep telling myself that this will help me once she arrives! Nursery is pretty much complete, just have a few more things on my to do list to get done. Nothing major though. Nesting has set in somewhat and I've been dusting things that I probably should have done long ago, but never thought of it! I have also been going through things and purging! I love to purge!

Wes is getting extremely excited as well. He is going to be such an amazing father. Still to this day, he kisses my belly and talks to Avah every night before we go to bed. He hasn't missed one night since we first found out. He's been working very hard at school so that he can try to get a bit more time off once she arrives. So far he has a week and is working on the 2nd one now. He is doing amazing in school as well! My little brainer! 90% average so far!!

I took some more pics today and this past week so I thought I would post an update! Nursery is coming along great, only a few more things to do! Below are pics of the change table, curtains I made, cover for the nursing pillow Leah gave us (our bassinette is under it), night table, frames I painted and glued wooden cut outs on, shelves we made and painted.

All is well on my front. Getting big and feeling awkward doing things. Wedding rings are tight so I've taken those off. I am starting to retain fluid and feel like a whale! Other than that, we are sooo anxious for our little one to get here!!! Not much longer now!

So we are coming along quite well. Prenatal class was a few weeks ago and we had our breastfeeding clinic this past week. Got lots of great information from both. God time is flying by!!

34 weeks

So I missed 33rd week, it is so hard without a computer! Here is my 34th week shot!

So far things are going well. Went for another doc appointment yesterday and all is good. Doc is figuring we have a big little baby inside of me! Wonder if she will come early..Blood pressure was great, I did gain some weight, so am now up to 24 lbs gained, some of that being fluid. Next appointment is in two weeks then it is every week after that! Hard to believe just over 6 weeks left! I have been feeling good, although heartburn is getting the best of me. I have to stay away from salt because Im going to start to retain lots of fluid. Other than that, I cant complain. I think I have the best hubby in the world! He has helped me so much and each night, plays with my hair without me asking!! It is so soothing and relaxing! I love him to pieces!

Tonight is our breastfeeding clinic. Quite anxious for that. We had our prenatal class 2 sundays ago and it was great! Learned lots of great stuff and had a lot of questions answered. I can say we are prepared and ready for her to come any day now!!

I should be on my way for now. Get home and rest then pick Wes up from school.

32 weeks

Since not having a computer at home, I dont get on very much. Here is our 32 week shot! Cannot believe 2 months today is our due date!!

Update...finally..

Well here is a quick update. Nothing all that much new, the holidays were nice and quiet, just the way we wanted them to be! Santa was great to us again, spoiled as usual. Things with me and Avah are going very well! Went to see Dr. Keating on Monday and my blood pressure was great and I didnt gain any weight, so I am still at 15 lbs gained so far. She is quite happy with that. The nursery is coming along well, I started washing all her stuff this week. I am lucky that I held off this long, I was tempted to do it before christmas! Sunday is our prenatal class! It should be interesting! I am loving being off work, I feel much better these days and am getting a chance to rest some. My nights are still hard with not much sleep. Pee breaks are about 1.5 hours apart so that doesnt leave much room for some good sleep! Oh well, it will all be worth it once she arrives.

Yup, that's right, in my 30th week. that means 10 more to go, unless by chance she wishes to enter the world early, which I would welcome! hahaha...

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

Update.........might be long!

Sorry it's been a bit. I'm definately going through computer withdrawal! it's been a busy week. Hard to believe that Christmas is less than a week away. Payday tomorrow so I'll be a busy little bee getting last minute stuff and doing a bit of baking. Our last christmas as a family of two! I can't wait until next year now!

All in all, things are well. This time off has been great so far, and I can't say I've been bored yet. My mind is finally at ease and I have a easier time falling asleep at night. Mind you I still don't sleep close to a full night, but at least it's a sound sleep! The pee breaks are getting more frequent, I'm up to about 3-4 a night so far. I hear it will be every hour in the near future! Baby Avah is doing great! She's kicking like a trooper, it's such an amazing experience!! I feel truly blessed to have had this experience. It's a feeling that you can't even describe. I love to watch my belly move when she kicks and moves around. Not being around pregnant woman very often, I honestly didn't have any real idea about that. And when she kicks, I always poke her back. It's like a reassurance that I am here for her. We play tag some mornings, where she will kick, I poke back, then she kicks again, then I poke again. It's a surreal experience. Definately something I never thought I would experience, and now it's finally here. I cry sometimes at the thought of how blessed we are.

Here is my 28 week 4 day pic. Belly is expanding. I had a huge jump in weight this time around, but doc indicates that it's normal where I haven't gained much up until now. And 1-2 pounds per week is expected. So I'm up to 15lbs gained at 28 weeks 2 days.

UC baby on Saturday was amazing to say the least! I layed back on a hospital type bed and Wes got to enjoy the sights from a nice couch next to me. They had like a 32 inch screen that you got to watch everything on! We got a CD with about 91 pics, some a lot clearer than others, overall, we're impressed. Plus we got a DVD with the whole session recorded on (about 30 minutes) where we can see Avah opening her eyes, smiling and yawning! We also got the heartbear bear, where we push the bears foot and hear her heartbeat! We also got confirmation that she is a girl!! I know we had that news a while back, but in the back of my mind, another opinion was great to have. So on Monday, I cut the tags off of all the girl clothes we received!! I was holding off on that until we had the 2nd opinion. Here are a couple of pics of our little angel!

Daddy bought Avah a gift 2 weeks ago. Pink Toronto Maple Leaf onesie with hat and booties! It's too cute!

A big Congrats to my cousin Jenni and her boyfriend Matt on their new little bundle of joy, Kloe! She was born on Friday, December 14th at 2:33pm weighing 8lbs 9 onces. Mommy and baby are home and doing great!!!

29 weeks

Can you believe it! In my 3rd trimester and in week 29 already!! Whoohoo!!!

28 weeks

Yup, in my 28th week! Saturday we head to Halifax for UC baby! I'll be sure to get some pics posted ASAP on here! Wish us luck!

Update

Hey all, as of last Thursday, Dr. Keating put me off work. Baby is fine, although I've been in lots of pain! Needless to say a desk job isn't the easiest when your preggo. My tailbone has really been bothering me, to the point where I only get relief on Sat and Sundays. Lots of pressure in my pelvis which sometimes makes it hard for me to walk. Then added on it all is lack of sleep (partial due to stress at work). I'm happy about being off, I need this time. I feel like the past bit I've been the crankiest person alive and feel really horrible. So the past few days I've been able to recharge a bit so it's coming.

Other than that, we don't have a computer at home so I won't be updating as much as usual which I'm sad about. Already I'm going to through Facebook withdrawals! We're hoping to get a comp in the new year. We'll see how that goes.

27 weeks!

Yup, that's right, I'm in my 27th week already! Frig time flies! 10 more sleeps and it's UC Baby in Halifax!! Another monthly doc appointment on December 17th then it's one every 2 weeks after that! Avah has been kicking up storms and making mommy's belly jiggle lots! I know her peak and down times, it's so neat! Some mornings after I wake up, we play tag for a bit, she kicks, then I push back, then she kicks. It's an amazing feeling! I painted a couple of things for her bedroom last night - we bought wooden letters that spell DREAM and I have two big thick wooden picture frames. So I painted them last night.

Christmas is just around the corner!! We still have bit more to do, but nothing major. Wes' mom will be spending christmas eve and christmas day with us this year as Brenda and Carter are heading West for the holidays. I think we'll have a great little christmas just the 3 of us!

Here is a new pic taken early this morning! For some reason it's a bit blurry. Exactly 25 weeks 5 days along. It's grown since last pic that's for sure!! Still only 7lbs gained so far!

26 weeks!

Holy Cow, in my 26th week already. Time is flying by. After next week I'll be in my 3rd trimester! Shiat!!

Some aches are pains are setting in already. It's all a part of it though. I'm anxious to be done work.

Low iron?

So my I went for my glucose testing last week and I think they took another vial or two of blood for other tests. Turns out my iron is somewhat low. Doc's office calls this afternoon and says I should get some Iron Supplements -Slow FE and take 1 daily along with my prenatal vitamin. Has anyone else had this? I know my sister had low Iron Levels but I think it was later in pregnancy. Anyway, just wanted to konw if this effected anyone else out there!
