10 weeks old already..

Time flies, that's for sure! Things are well on our end. Avah is growing like a weed! She went for her needles last week and is now 11lbs 12 ounces and 23 inches long. Just over one week before that she was 10lbs 11 ounces and 21.5 inches long. Talk about a growth spurt! She is smiling all the time and cooing lots! She is noticing much more these days. She loves her swing and smiles at the fishy mobile as it goes round and round! It is all so amazing. Mommy and Daddy are doing pretty good. Daddy just finished school and is on the prowl for work. Both Avah and I are extremely proud of him, he finished with a 89.15% average!!

That's the update for now. All is well on our end, hope all is well with everyone out there!

Here I am....

So 8 weeks has passed by very quickly. It's so hard to believe that Avah is 8 weeks old today. No joke about new moms telling me that time passes quick. It makes me sad that it goes by this fast!

Avah is growing like crazy. Last weigh in she was 10lbs 11 ounces and 21.5 inches long. So that's just over a pound in weight since birth and 1.5 inches. She's smiling up a storm these days and cooing lots. It's such an amazing feeling to be a mom. To have her respond to you, or look at you. Same with Daddy, she responds to his voice and always looks around when she hears his voice. Since her cold is almost gone, we went for a couple of walks this week. She's not happy with the first half of the walk it seems, then she falls asleep. Hopefully she'll start getting used to it. I'm sure she will.

She isn't sleeping her nights yet, but only wakes up once. So I really can't complain. She usually feeds somewhere between 8 and 10 then sleeps until 2 or 3. Eats then and up again somewhere between 6 and 8. So not too bad at all. We will be working on getting her to sleep back in her bassinette this weekend. After week one, she didn't enjoy it and kept waking. Plus she was having a hard time then with eating and vommitting so she's been sleeping with me in bed on the nursing pillow. Poor Daddy has been upstairs in the spare room!! So this weekend will be a weekend with little sleep I would imagine. But we have to get her back in it and Daddy in bed with me!

Other than Avah, things are well. Wes is doing his practicum with Downtown Miramichi. He's in his 3rd week and enjoying it. He has one more exam to write but to date his average is 90%. We are soo proud of him.

House wise, our basement has flooded and water continues to come in. Thankfully not much was ruined. The dehumidifyer has been on since last Wednesday. Our back deck collapsed from the weight of the snow so hopefully once the snow is gone, the landlord will fix it up.

That's it on our end for now. Hopefully it won't take as long for me to write next time.
